An interesting and rare species of small, diurnal lizard. Lygodactylus kimhowelli is endemic to Tanzania and is a typically arboreal species. Juveniles do not display intraspecific aggression. These lizards thrive best in larger groups, with several females to every male. The minimum terrarium size for 3–4 individuals is 30x30x60, with a temperature range of 26–30 degrees Celsius and humidity of 70–80 per cent. They require a UVB bulb (5–6 per cent) and a heat lamp. They are not listed in the CITES Appendices, and no registration is required.
